Cuba Ensenachos Hideaway Resort Royal
We have just returned from a glorious week in paradise. We returned on Feb
2nd.
The Santa Clara airport is quite small, however, the airport staff are very
polite and friendly, happy to see us and try their very best to help. You have
to be patient to get your luggage.
The bus ride is approx 1hr and 30 mins to the RHE depending on other types of
road traffic through the small towns and villages, horses, carts, bicycles,
pedestians, dogs, etc.
We were happy to travel during the day to admire the country side, rural life
in a small cuban towns, and some of the great architecture which is currently
worn, however, very interesting tour in itself.
The only word to describe the RHE is paradise. Marble floors, high beautiful
ceilings, beautify fauna, waterfalls, large spacious living quarters with large
balcony. They thought of everything to make you feel very special and waited on.
We are a Jamaican couple and thought this was the most beautiful beach we have
ever been to. Perfectly white powdery sandy beach, various hues of greens,
blues, aquamarie waters, perfectly calm with merely a ripple (because the beach
is situated in a protected cove).
Water is clear to see the sand ripples at the bottom, all the fishes.
Shallow all the way out to 400 feet. The RHE is the only hotel on the Cayo
Ensenachos, therefore, we could walk the long stretch of the beautiful beach.

Not a problem getting a papalas (shade) with lounge chairs, more that enough for
everyone.
We had a chance to visit all the a la cartes and preferred the Mediterranean
Seafood the best. The Italian was good too. I personally thought the buffet was
good, we enjoyed having freshly grilled prawns, perch, hake, tuna etc for lunch
and dinner everyday.
We also enjoyed lobster 4 times while we were there. Monday nights at the buffet
is Internatinal Night featuring grill lobster, roast suckling pig, roast cornish
hens, etc. Cuban night is on Thursday, also with lobster, large sea bass which
is carved to your liking, fried chicken, black beans, etc. What more could you
ask for.
Food was fresh, and plentiful, more than often cooked while you waited and
to your liking. Breakfast was more than enough for me, crepes, omlettes,
cappucinos, eggs fruits, breads, yogurts, cheese, hams, and much more.
The staff were very genuine, gracious and insisted on waiting on you, willing to
satify all of your requests. The bellboys were most friendly and very happy to
help with any type of information, or just driving you to anywhere around the
hotel grounds.
I, personally, thought the staff at Ensenachos were the best, much better
than our experience in varadero which were not that bad to begin with.
